Using chord shapes to cover 'Blinding Lights' by The Weeknd (EP-133 K.O. II Music Theory Part 4)

In the second-to-last video of the series, I tie together the first 3 parts using "Blinding Lights" by The Weeknd as an example. This cover sounds a bit sparse to me, so there may be a Part 4B where I add more details, fix the structure, and edit the sounds further.

It is seriously a brain workout to make a cover while talking through every step, correcting mistakes, and tying in past concepts all while trying to use the same terms, so please let me know if you have any questions!

I made some corrections in the subtitles but there are still plenty of spots where I don't explain things clearly or blatantly misspeak.

Chapters:
0:00 Intro & overview
1:43 Work I did off-camera
2:38 The sounds
7:14 Setting up the track
9:15 Drums
11:33 Bass
14:10 Remembering the add the hi hat
14:55 Adjusting bass sound duration
15:40 Pads
17:20 Lead
18:47 Verse 1
20:00 The arpeggiated part
21:33 Adding reverb
23:27 The rest of the song
30:55 Outro

Thank you for making these videos! I recently got the medieval and I’m struggling the most with melodies/leads. This series has been super helpful.

What happened to the last tut? Btw, jelly of all your gear, looking for a 404 mk2 and an op1-field in the future hopefully (and maybe a digitakt). Currently I only have the KO II (since the other ones are at a different price range), it would be awesome if you could make more covers/songs following this format. So after watching the first 3 tuts, we could go from there to more options besides blinding lights. All the best!

If this is the second to last video, is there still one you haven’t uploaded yet?
