There're two methods to adjust the focus:
one method is to adjust by the focal gauge.
The other method is to adjust by the aluminum plate.

TIPS: NOT the smaller focal point, the better for engraving photos!
For example, if you need to use a high power laser module to engrave grayscale photos on wood, it would be better to move down the laser module a little more to make the focal point to be bigger, so as to get a better grayscale effect.

they say a picture is worth a thousand words but a little slower video and a thousand words would have greatly helped. there are more variations out there that you can shake a stick at. who is right. if you don't need a gauge why send one. if you have a fixed focus lens why do you have to adjust the lens. if you go by laser point size then that's all that you need to know. confused as ever.

what's the point of the metal gauge if you're going to adjust it based on the dot size on the black acrylic? WTF? pretty confusing.
