This 'Budget' line really isn't all that budget. Not when for just a little bit more money you can buy their normal line of products.

the info screen on the Streamdeck Neo is kinda neat. would be nice if they give us the option to use a normal button as an info screen on the other Streamdecks. Maybe even with an action underneath it. for example it shows the current subscribers on youtube, and when I press the button it opens youtube in my browser.

Having removable cables is currently cheaper to manufacture than integrated cables.
With removable cables you can buy them pre terminated by the lot (economy of scale), making the cable cheaper. This difference easily pays the USB-C connector, which costs 1~1.5 USD for a high quality one (in quantity), and the connector can be soldered to the board on the same process as the other components, not adding to the cost.
It is less about cutting costs, and more about making you buy a new product when it's cable eventually fails, as most people are not tech savvy enough to replace the cable.

Having the page buttons built into the cheapo stream deck really does it for me. Typically I don't need access to more than 6 at a time despite having 18 binds, and I use pages to separate them already. This new 8 button stream deck could certainly be my future keyboard companion as a replacement for a keyboard with macro keys. Haven't dabbled with a streamdeck yet though so I don't know if it's a perfect replacement for icue's macro integration.

Ngl, I feel like these are also very valid options for people who travel a lot and also want to stream, but they don't want to carry expensive stuff with them in case the tools get stolen

Tbh, I would just go to other places for WAY cheaper products like Fifine for the mic; AmpliGame AM8 is a great option with both USB and XLR. Avermedia for the webcam, and again Avermedia for the Capture card, the only thing I suggest is the Stream Deck. If you're gonna stay in the Elgato eco system, the Neo products are great options.

My only complaint is the color sadly. I tend to go with a primarily black theme so white would clash too much. I'd love to see them in black and possibly a weighted base attachment for the stream deck neo rather than mounting holes.

The stream deck new having those page buttons and the time screen makes me want to buy that over the "higher" end stream decks when i finally buy one. Those features along with the lights physical front buttons might be a hint at future refreshes to the regular line tho

I currently use a scosche magnetic mount that’s connected to the bottom of my monitor at the suction end and the magnetic end hold my stream deck. So it’s always within my line of site basically and it’s surprisingly sturdy when I need to hit a button. However I’m going to start using that as a MagSafe charging mount and I’m going to inlaying my stream deck into my desk so it sits flush with a nice clean bezel around it. People on Etsy sell kits if you don’t have a printer :) it looks so clean.

I just proposed a new product to Elgato that also addresses the target group of content creators including advanced streamers but also trainers, presenters and people in video conferences who strive for high-level quality. Something random and unrelated to the topic of the video but I feel like with your cartographer mouse pads you could make a sorta smoke grey and a off-white sorta cream colour one aswell but I'd also love to see some in other colours like maybe pastels maybe like an orange, green, blue, red, pink and purple. Could really fit with more setups and tie in well
