I went through the stages, basically i click on site map and it comes up with my website blank with the logo and nothing else, not the text like it shows in your video. Also my web developer had some blog uploaded somewhere. So if i search the company name / url it comes up with domain name/blogpost etc you click on that and the same thing comes up as when i press the xml sitemap button on wordpress. How do i delete this blog thingy?? please help!

Hi. Great video. BUT, when I click on the button to view the XML Sitemap, I get
Not Found
The requested URL /sitemap_index.xml was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Is there something I Have missed.

Hi, I submitted my XML site map created by yoast to webmaster tools. when tested the sitemap it's saying generated http 404 error. what to do please help?

When I click on "XML Sitemap" it doesn't show me my sitemap. Instead I get a red box with an error message: "error on line 2 at column 6: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document." do you know how I could fix this? Great video by the way, very informative.

I am using the Fount theme which is a single page theme.  When I click the generate sitemap link it goes to the website itself and not what is shown in this video.  When I tried submitting this to google and bing I got errors.  Any idea on how to fix this so I can submit this site for SEO?

Hello,
I am experiencing the same problem a few others have experienced regarding clicking on "XML SITEMAP" - I get a "page not found" error message, and not the same screen shot seen in your video.

I have tried to disable xml sitemaps, saved the changes, re-enable sitemaps, saved the changes and I still get the same error message.

Does this "error, page not found" error message mean anything from an SEO perspective? Is my website still sitemapped or does this error message prevent proper functionality?

Thanks for your vids. I'm not seeing all my pages show up on my sitemap. Do lower heirarchy pages not show? IE: abc dot com/x/y/z where z is ignored?

The sitemap doesn't change if I change the settings (e.g. excluding taxonomies) furthermore it doesn't exclude the pages that have "don't include in sitemap" settings activated in the editor. What can I do?
