I'm 5 minutes into the video, and I forgot I was interested in the compressor because I got so into the song! I have absolutely ZERO experience with this genre; I'm a lifelong hardcore Hip-hop head. I wouldn't have expected to enjoy this....but I do....A LOT!

For as much as this sounds sooo good, imagine a pair of Neve 2254/R Limiter/Compressor's strapped, which have the same circuitry as the 1073 and 1084's as where the 33609 is cleaner like the 1081's .... but hey, don't get me wrong, this is a nice demo, thanks! The 33609 sounds beautiful. I hope you get the five more you're wishing for. For those considering REAL AMS Neve outboard gear, be forewarned - it changes everything, inspires you to create more with even more Neve gear, which begs for more ... and so on. Plug-ins just don't come close! Go Neve (Hardware) and never look back!

crazy, i found about this being used on a Eminem track and wanted to research more about it. I been doing stuff like this for a while and never heard of it so i typed it in youtube and your channel was the first to pop up. can you please release instrumental versions of Phronesis? not because i want to hear no vocals. i love examining all elements of the instruments and i find it difficult to distinguish with vocals on tracks. thanks! amazing videos John.

Hi John! Not sure if it's appropriate place to ask, but still. I got this weird idea recently to get something like H&K tubemeister 20 and slam it directly into my audio interface, but I'm not sure if it's gonna make much difference (if it will work at all) compared to just using setup, especially considering the investment. Do you think it makes sense for a typical bedroom guitarist for practicing/recording, or should I just stick with what I already have?
