Asha ~ Your beautiful life

This song is about the end of a relationship. We parted in love, and we never fought or argued, but there was a whole matrix of reasons why it had to end, including spiritual renunciation. Writing it, recording it and filming for it brought some kind of healing and integration of the loss. It helped me to gather up my soul fragments from all the places I had left them in.

The actress playing the role of the lover who leaves is Laura Fenyvesi. I knew her as a friend in a spiritual community in Budapest. We agreed to meet in a cafe and I played her the track. I filmed her as she heard the song for the first time, and she cried. We didn't expect that. It was all ‘live’; there was no script or agenda. Laura is an accomplished individual; a model, and a tri-lingual writer and actress, as well as a singer and dancer. To her it was at first just another job, but the song spoke to her.
