Given the aggression, the power and the anger, you can really tell they were still in a period of grieving at this point. Also, the way James sings "dreams" in the first chorus sounded very Justice/Black Album era.

Lars drum kit sounded the best from 86-93 or so. That snare was so good. Has the depth, crack and everything. I believe it was a Ludwig? Not too sure. But compare it to even a 2019 version of Puppets, the snare sample doesn’t even have the same vibe

Lol, people think Seattle 89 is their peak, if the sound that is happening hear was captured in the quality of Seattle 89, it would make it seem so weak, the tempo, u can still hear how hard they r playing ( as in literally hitting hard) and James voice….. every single line growled n yelled, every note perfectly fryed vowels, even in Seattle 89 he was starting to do that clean woahhh howling crap he does now days.
