This is Lobitos

This is Lobitos: a small town located in Northern Peru, in the middle of the desert, was used to live from oil extraction and later became a military base. It has today an approximated population of 1500.

The abandoned buildings are evidence that Lobitos were in it's past a place that large population of families lived in.

Nowadays, this very unique place is also one of the most known surf spots in Peru - the first surfers arrived there between 1990-2000 - and it's marked by it's tranquility and by the constancy of the perfect waves and swells which goes on throughout the year.
