Where are you guys at? I used to do a lot of fishing at the Woodford County Conservation area across from Chillicothe, IL. The Long-nose Gar remind me of an experience my friend and I had in a flooded area in the summer of 1992. The gar were feeding on the surface, and they would hit the cork, so we decided to tie topwater baits, and they slammed those as well. Gar are fighters, and it was enjoyable to catch these prehistoric river dwellers. BTW the conservation area also had ditches dug where the river would empty into. The artesian wells kept ice off during the winter, and it was a great place for February bullhead fishing.

Caught tons of carp but always released because I don't know how to clean/prep them to cook. I've heard if it's not done correctly it tastes like crap due to a vein or something. You think you could do a video on how to clean/cook carp? Thanks
