"Dan is fine. And he will be "fine" anytime you ask him how he is from now on.".... I really felt that ...

When Dan was contemplating his life and that wire, I felt that, man.

Had one of these moments the other day. My grandfather was a bit into photography back in the '60s and '70s. You kind of had to be if you wanted to get decent pictures back then. He died in 2007. I've been into photography since I was a teenager, so when my grandmother moved to an assisted living apartment a couple years later and we were cleaning out the house I ended up with his camera and lenses. A few days ago I was going through it all for the first time in a few years and noticed that the tape on a cracked lens cover he'd repaired had become gummy. I pulled the tape off and when I looked at the pieces of it in my hand it struck me that the last time someone held that piece of tape was when he put it there. Then I thought about the fact that I had never seen him with a camera and didn't even know he owned one until the day we found it in his closet, he probably wasn't even much older than me when he put that tape there. I also have his slides and there are some great pictures, including some really cool self portraits. Anyway, it caused me to think about the aspects of the people that our parents and grandparents were that we might never know about. I was just a kid, and he was just my Pappaw, but I'd love to be able to talk to him today as just a man. I sat there for at least 5 min holding that tape and thinking, and haven't told anyone besides those who read this.

She interupts him - already filming on her phone - asks him a question then belittles his answer and somehow he "blindsided" her. 🤦🏻‍♂️

$500 says she absolutely pressured him into saying all that BS in a way she wanted to hear jt

Dan deserves a new wire, a hug and his feelings heard and approved like everyone.

Poor guy. Cindy is gaslighting Dan, AND it makes it worse that she's recording it and broadcasting it. She's an attention-monger, ungrateful, and disrespectful to their relationship and what should be private.

~ Signed, a sympathetic woman, and human being, exasperated by this nonsense.

"My husband never tells me what's wrong or what's bothering him" this is a perfect example of why 😂

Been an engineer for 40 years. I go into meetings and I'm that "old guy" in the room now. People ask why things are the way they are and I can actually give them the answer, the meeting notes and discussions we had all those years ago. Watching this guy talk about the wire bundle is core to probably every man. What all is better because of that 40 years of wire that was used. Our value, our worth, reflected in a simple roll of wire.

When I watched this video, and his wife chided him "Why are you crying, because you're wearing your Jets hat", I came unglued. They keep saying never hit a woman, but, man o man, with that kind of snippy attitude and quip, that man's composure is epic level.

Dan opens up one time, and now it's video after video for him. You know he hasn't heard the end of it from his wife.

That guy was pondering 40 years of his work life through an almost empty spool of wire that equals to 2 years less than my age. I actually teared up a bit until she brushed it off like it was nothing.

When I got married (to an amazing woman), pretty much EVERYONE was telling me happy wife happy life. Only one guy i worked with told me it ain't happy wife happy life... it's happy spouse happy house. And that's exactly how it's been.

I'm almost 50, this man is everyman. I see the end of the spool too and I'm not ready for the last job.

Her videos and online status are more important than her husband. Way to go girls. Merry Christmas.

Called it. I saw the 1st video, and I commented that she'd turn it around so he was to blame, not taking her feelings into account, and she was going to be mad for days at it. I was married to a woman like this. I'm sorry you got done that way, buddy. I truly am.

This made me so sad. My partner, the father of my children, is my best friend. He's the one that has my back when others let me down, my sounding board, my everything. We aren't perfect, I sure as hell am not perfect.. but when he talks about things he enjoys or things he's struggling with, I LISTEN and try to understand. He used to apologize and say, "I know this probably isn't interesting to you." He doesn't do that anymore though because I always told him, if it's important to you, it's important to me. Finally, he started believing me.
I love the way his face lights up when he talks about football and when I can tell he's proud of himself for accomplishing a goal at work. Good or bad, Imma ride for my man and our family. And I know he feels the same. ❤
