I think the "I wish she knew you" is about Zack's daughter, who was born less than a month after Robert sadly passed, so she had never gotten to meet the wonderful man Tyler had looked up to and respected for most, if not all, of his life

I think his grandfather had Alzheimer's? It would explain the "your eyes didn't know me" line, since one of the saddest things about that disease is that they may not even recognize their loved ones anymore.

Anyway, it's a sad song and reminds me of my last days with my dad.

The most powerful thing that struck me about this song is that it sounds happy, almost like a celebration. And that's exactly what he wanted us to do at the end of Neon Gravestones! Sure, it's not suicide, but he is celebrating him being a legend while he was alive and not saddened by his death.

At first I thought the "she" could've meant one of Tyler's nieces, but the lines "Did not know how to take it/ When your eyes did not know me/ Like I know you", to me, it sounds like Tyler's granddad may have suffered from Alzheimer's, robbing *Jenna* of the opportunity of knowing him the way Tyler did.

I haven’t watched it before because I didn’t want to “spoil” anything for myself before the official release date... Glad I could watch it now.
The first time I listened to it on the 5th midnight, I couldn’t continue listening to it, I had to pause because I was bawling my eyes out. This song hit home for some personal reasons... I hate when I see people “dancing” and moving as if they’re listening to love song or something. Calling it a “Bob”, it feels so disrespectful... Maybe it’s just me, but I listened to the lyrics and I couldn’t help but cry 😢 It’s heartbreaking.
I am sorry if this comment is long, or if it offended anyone, I know that it’s upbeat and sounds happy, but no one listens to a song and not listen to the lyrics, and this one is so clear, and kind of direct. So yeah...
