Lana Del Rey (May Jailer) - For K pt.1 // Türkçe çeviri

*Guilty was his plight tam Türkçesi ile çevrilince "Suçluluk onun durumuydu" oluyor. Böyle bana mantıksız geldiği için "O bir suçluydu" diye çevirdim.
*Serving time hapishanede vakit geçirmek demekmiş. Bunu şarkıyı çevirirken öğrendim.

Kalite için çok özür dilerim 😓

Lana Del Rey( Elizabeth Woolridge Grant )

For K Part. 1

It was a drive-by sunday night,
Most of us were in bed alright
I turned down the light,
Then I heard the sirens interrupt the silence

Is this what you wished,
To commit a crime?
Is this what you wished,
To commit a crime?
Is this what you wished,
To commit a crime, commit a crime, commit a crime?

He was a nice guy, really bright,
Making money's hard to do right
Guilty was his plight,
Now he's in a jail cell for some 30 years now

Is this what you wished,
To be serving time?
Is this what you wished,
To be serving time, serving time, serving time?

K's a friend of mine
I think about him as he does time
Miss his white wine,
Funny I don't feel free even though it's not me

Is this what you wished,
To leave me behind?
Is this what you wished,
To leave me behind, me behind, me behind?

Last year they decided
That his time is up and then he got retried
Double homicide,
Sent him on a death row not to hang around, no

Is this what you wished,
Did you wanna die?
Is this what you wished,
Did you wanna die?
Is this what you wished,
Did you wanna die, wanna die, wanna die?
Did you wanna die, wanna die, wanna die?

You realize I've never had a conversation with someone about this? I've mentioned it, behind closed doors, or out of earshot, to someone, once, maybe. But it was so cryptic I wasn't really sure if they understood. It all makes me really sad. I know they say you should just like, be grateful for what you have, but I've told my whole story, and going all the way back, to ten, fifteen years ago even, all the opportunities that I was capable of achieving, but was barred from the opportunity, or harassed out of doing what was actually best for me. It all makes me really depressed. So thanks. For letting me just, not feel all alone even if it's for just a little while longer, I don't think I could survive without being able to talk to someone about all this.

So, essentially, she's singing to the people who threw K in prison. There's lots of k's in the world. I was thrown into the whole Nazi-Putin-Trump-Neo Nazi prison thing. What she's asking in the song is. "Do you, Militia Police, want to die?"

P.S. if you want more context on "k" listen to more kendrick lamar music. Or better yet, listen to that, akd then go watch the Men In Black movie series.
