Dancing to Elegba is not just moving your feet in two-step shuffle to music It is a dynamic exchange of rhythm to body expression. The movement is a synchronization of matching the sound to body movement. One feels it internally as the expression manifests externally. Elegba is exquisite in his ability to synchronize that body language and connection- communication that is why he is the Deity that opens any ceremony, any Bembe in the Sacred traditions of Yoruba, & Lucumi worldwide. I first encountered Elegba in the 1970’s in the home of an Omo Shango in NYC . He had been initiated with there other African American & one Cuban American in Cuba in 1959 just before travel to Cuba was restricted. This demonstration reminds me of the dance steps learned by many in mid- 1970’s. I am excited to see people learn Dance to Elegba. Gratitude

En mi opinión bailan muy bien pero eso no se aprende se siente cuando eres hijo de los santos no tienes por q aprender a bailar eso siente y hace acordé el sentimiento yo soy hija de oshun y nunca e ido a clases para bailarle a ella siempre lo he echo como lo siento y mis padrinos me dicen q está bien y honestamente eso lo veo como falta de respeto para los santos por q ellos te jalan acordé tu baile y no lo aprendés lo sientes 👑😊☺️☺️☺️
