That’s cool that he’s just got a Peak and a Sub37. Novation has really good software interfaces for their synths. And Moog has Editor apps (including VST versions) for the Sub37 and Minitaur.

Bear in mind that workstations like the HP Z series use ECC RAM (not cheap) and are really loud, or at least not designed for consumer areas like a front room or bedroom. But if you can store the base away then they are a bit of a bargain used (and some people have hackintoshed them too).
