also a thing to keep in mind, you are allowed to wash seasoned pans with dish soap, just don't let it soak for long and don't use abrasive sponges etc.
Soap a few decades ago had lye in it, that was able to destroy the sessoning but nowadays thats not used anymore as it also is quite agressive against skin. (If you seasoning comes of with dishsoap it wasn't really bonded to the pan to begin with and you would have to start over anyways)

I just discovered your channel. I went on an absolute binge and found myself watching vidoes posted in 2023. I would have gotten to the end but it's 8am in the morning and I really should sleep. Can't believe that you don't have more subscribers.

I want to clarify: after frying the aromatics or vegetables, can we still eat them or should we discard them? If we should discard them, is there any specific reason why? Thank you so much and pardon my English (English is not my first language :D)

Hello! I'm here to ask you a question relating fish! I always see the tinned fish and I started to wonder....Have you ever tasted vendace? It's a small fish found in Northern Europe, so I don't know if it's available where you are, but I'd love to recommend fried vendace, it's a delicacy here in Finland:)

Love your recipes. Also, you inspired me to try eating tinned fish again after getting sick on it once. Thanks for that, I was lacking omega 3s and such.

Use vegetable or avocado oil. You need these oils to have a high smoking point. Once it smoke is when polymerization happens. If you use oil with a low smoking point, you are limited to using low heat.

100% flax oil is super good for this !! There’s a good inverse correlation with smoke point, which is confusing because we usually never fry low smoke point oils on high heat, but that’s just because we don’t want to eat carcinogens. But as long as you don’t eat your seasoning oil we get all those nice free radicals to polymerize the oils :)
