Vegetable oil isn’t really that neutral of an oil. I would definitely recommend using canola or grape seed instead. In addition, they have much higher smoke points and are less likely to become “sticky/tacky”

When the oil is heated to the point of smoke, The oil changes its structure and becomes carcinogenic. Is this correct?

Mine wont turn blue. At the highest heat my wok turned slightly red, and had lots of black burn. That despite of washing the wok clean with soap n water beforehand. What could be wrong?
