Peak Oil Can’t Happen Before Peak Coal

Despite the wave of renewable investments and push towards the energy transition, the world has yet to even reach peak coal demand--let alone peak oil demand.

FYI. Baseload during non hot weather, in NYC area is approx 15-18 GigaWatts. Summer demand Peaks to 30-31... Our insatiable appetite for power can be immediately quenched by Nuclear, Hydro and Geo, and that will stop Fossil. Nuclear FTW

Peak crude oil - black gold - happened 2008. Peak oil production.
The discovery of oil peaked in 1964.
Current "oil" figures include shale oil, condensate, LNG, bio-diesel (animal fats), ethanol (vegetable oils) etc.
This is done to inflate oil figures.
Mankind consumes 4 times more oil than is discovered. 9 billion barrels PA is discovered. 36 billion barrels PA is consumed.
Unsustainable!
We are in the end game of affordable oil

Go Nuclear - full throttle, buy yourself 40 years, with that to help transition to renewable / green. Don't just pull the plug and say we're going Wind and Solar. This is why energy policies of this country and world, should be made by people who work in the industry, by the direction of the people. The people want Renewable Green, I completely agree. Create an effective game plan.

If natural gas can be liquefied and /or stored and transmitted, it causes less percentage of co2 emissions .Thus, It is cleaner ...

Canada has lots of oil, coal, and gas. Our proletariat is now generally opposed to fossil fuels.

Problem is, folks, that somebody is going to need to sell these products to the world. Is it going to be us, or ( UAE, Russia, Argentina, etc)? Good lord, get those fossil fuels out of the ground and build some more communities in the as yet unsettled parts parts of Canada, around these resources. All this can help fund the green energy transition that we all know needs to occur.

Excellent. The USA holds 1/3 of the world coal reserves. Too bad our politics won't let us produce it via poor incentives.

Co2 can be used to produce ethanol and other fuels through the use of solar energy . A great way to neutralize CO2 emissions and make net zero co2 emissions with technological advances...
