Ok, this is one of my FAVORITE secrets to making tops and even some dresses look more flattering. The best part is, this requires no pins or sewing whatsoever! Hope you give this a try!

Have done similar for years. LOVE all yours though💖
I often pop a small shape (circle, square) of hard plastic at the back of the garment.
Pull it up to where I want it them pop the band over. Pull enough through to hide the elastic. I can then add a cute little sparkle brooch on the flat surface for a bit of Bling!!

I have done the same thing, with the elastic on the inside. Sometimes painting a brooch right where it gathers.
I also have had a couple of times when I had a dress that was too big in the bust so I did the same thing at the neckline. It would end up turning a scoop neck into a v-neck
And totally unrelated to fashion, I took my niece out one time and discovered the pants she was wearing were too big for her and kept on slipping down. I used an elastic in the very back to make it fit her

That's a great tip. I do the same thing but use a small scarf ring or large scarf ring depending on how much extra fabric I'm working with. Thanks for sharing!
