You should submit an idea about the living buildings to the workshop. Here is a concept on how it could work.

The idea of a new PDA that replaces the regular buildings with moving buildings would be interesting, it could be called something like “Non-disposable daughters” and it could have multiple downsides to balance it out.
“Non-Disposable Daughters” PDA features: Replaces all buildings with humanoid versions of the buildings, the building destruction menu is replaced with an image of the current map that the player is playing on which can be used to instruct the buildings to move to a specific marked location.
If the gunslinger is equipped alongside the PDA, the sentry will be replaced with a mini Mimi-Sentry.

Upsides: The buildings can roam around the designated area they are placed in, the dispenser and teleporters will be able to defend themselves with melee attacks if attacked by enemies, the sentry won’t have rockets but will have melee attacks for close combat and times where it runs out of ammo, if the buildings see another building being sapped they will run to it and try to take off the sapper (which has a 50% success rate), after removing a sapper from a friendly building the teleporter that did it will return to its original position, and you can use the map on the PDA to instruct the individual buildings where to go.

Downsides: The buildings won’t be able to be manually be destroyed by the player who placed them, the buildings won’t be upgradeable, since the sentry and the dispenser will roam around the area they were placed they won’t stand in one convenient spot, since the sentry and dispenser will roam around it will be easy to lose track of them, when the buildings hit low health they will be put into a panic state where they seek out the engineer to the heal them.
