Evolution of Apple macOS (1984 - 2024)

This year marks 40 years since Apple's core operating system, commonly known as macOS was released to the public. In this video you will see how macOS has evolved from version 1 over four decades ago to the present with macOS Sequoia 15!

The majority of footage you see has been re-recorded specifically for this video, with various emulators and real devices used to show the OSes at their best potential.

Wow, there have been so many changes in the lifetime of macOS! I remember the first time I used Mac OS X Snow Leopard when I was in middle school. Eventually, I owned a MacBook Pro non-retina 13-inch mid-2012 with Mac OS X Mountain Lion. I miss those old macOS days, but they bring back good memories!

sorta miss the feel of OS8-OS9 and early OSX, same with windows 2000 i am sorta tired of the modern flat UI that OS's now use

It's amazing when Apple Macintosh' fundamental UI hasn't been changed until now and Apple still keep the top bar menu from the beginning unlike Windows which had been changing its core UI several times that makes people very confusing and even Ubuntu Linux which had a history of terribly inconsistent UI.

Speaking about Ubuntu Linux, in 2011's, when the Linux distro got MacOS-like interface called "Unity", people take chances to do some makeup to look like a MacOS and you can say that Ubuntu Linux is "Poor Man's MacOSX" but today not anymore when Ubuntu Linux shifted its focus away from mass user market and then going into professional users only.

guys i had to upgrade to mac os new version of sequoia i had this last version of mac os sonoma but know i have a macbook pro 2020 intel and apple m1 imac 2021 so i had to upgrade my macbook air m2 soon as possible and thanks to all thank you.
