I was very disappointed with the quality of the lion dancing show here... Professional lion dancing takes years of practice and to me it looks like Disney California Adventure have simply given a lion "costume" to dancers who aren't familiar with this particular style of performance. I can understand how it may appear entertaining to people who maybe haven't seen other lion dance performances, and this is only one opinion, so I would say if you enjoyed this video, I'd highly recommend watching some other lion dance videos too... It is an amazing art form worth true recognition. :)

I have to agree that they look like dancers. I don't see any kung fu stances and not alot of head movement, mouth not opening and closing, and no blinking of eye lids.

surprised disney couldn't afford to higher a better trained lion dance group...

I would have expected it more exciting due to the location it is at but who knows if they lacked some pros at their school that day. Also, they just needed a bit more athleticism but other than that, they were good.
