Bringing Magical Moments to Millennial Farmer Fans:

Book The Millennial Farmer to Speak at your Next Event:

Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

How old were you when you learned to drive combine?!

That moment you look your son in the eyes and put your faith in him as a young man, then you get out the seat with your gut in faith and walk away with thoughts rushing though your head and then see them move off the spot then see them running it well. It just makes you wanna tear up being a proud father of your son becoming a young responsible man.

This video is incredible. Truly. I've watched the videos for years. This one is the absolute best. Nothing special, no gimmicks. A father teaching the next generation with immense patience and pride. This video, in my opinion, is something that should be viewed by everyone and be stowed away so that it is saved. This video, albeit short relative to a lifetime of teaching, shows how your food is made and how the traditions and knowledge is passed on. This is one of the most incredible videos I've ever watched. Thank you Johnson family for all that you do.

Let's just appreciate what a great childhood those kids have, running around on pit bikes, atv's, surrounded by massive tractors in nature, always outside. And then they have this wonderful, loving family who likes to teach them things. I'm kinda jealous :)

I was a troubled teen into drugs, street racing, and burglary. My parents sent me to help one of my dad's friends on his 600 acre cattle, pork, and grain farm in Alabama. I spent a growing season there. It turned me around pronto. I learned what it was to be a good person, what a work ethic was, and how rewarding struggle and hard work can actually be.

Onyx is a respectable young man off to a great start.

It brought a tear to my eye as Zach walked away as onyx took over by himself. I know exactly the thoughts that went through Zach’s mind. And then I laughed out loud when onyx was like come on dad let’s dump on the run and get it done! I loved every second of this video. And the new grain cart driver will be kicking ol dad out soon enough.

I am very impressed with Onyx and his drive to learn the machinery. I see tons of comments about Zach being the nervous and proud dad and that is all true. But I can only imagine just how beaming proud Grandpa is to see his grandson in the combine. And then to see his granddaughter in the grain cart much have been a huge teary-eyed moment for him. Awesome video for sure.

Im not a farmer, nor am I a father. But after watching for so long i must say. I am proud to support you and your family, watching the kids grow and learn is very revarding and brings joy knowing what great parents they have.

Not gonna lie I cried during this video because it brought back so many memories of my grandfather teaching me to drive a tractor at 7 years old in the fields. I dumped my first load of hay at 9 off of a flatbed truck he had mounted blocks to the gas and break pedals so I could reach them. Thank you for bringing those memories flooding back to me today! So many life lessons for me at that age farming a small farm in Georgia … I just recently bought that land back from the bank during a foreclosure! This might be your greatest video ever! Thank you

Seeing you interact with your son and teaching him brought a little tear to my eye. I cant wait to see you and your daughter operate the grain cart and witness the beginning of the next generation of your farm. God bless y’all.

Zach, your entire family and farm operation is impressive. The way your dad, you, and Jim interact always brings a smile to my face. My late father and I were police officers together for several years in the early 1980's and I have great memories of our time together. I'm sure you are a proud Papa of your family and your farming heritage.

These kids are getting a better education in the cab of a farm machine than they would in any public school.

This reminds me when my dad put me on a tractor at 7 yrs old on the farm back in Kansas in 1951. He was on a tractor on one side of the field and i on another tractor on the other side of the field. Some great experiences I can look back on. I’ll be 80 next year, great memories. Im proud of you the experiences your giving your kids! God bless you!

My father died when I was 4 so I pretty much had to rely on my neighbors to teach me everything Zach is teaching Onyx. I have since passed those things along to my son when he was very young and who is 33 and has a family of his own. Something that did come to mind was the family across the road from us who basically treated me like one of their own. They were like parents to me. The wife was buried last week and the husband about a year ago. Watching this reminds me of the neighbor that taught me to me teaching my son.

How cool to teach your son a family tradition, farming. Lost my son 7 yrs ago and know firsthand how precious this time with your son is. Thank you so much for sharing your life and knowledge with us. J.Au-en

Zach, this is one of your coolest videos ever, just seeing you teach Onyx how to run the combine! i have never driven a combine, but I learned a lot from my dad about other stuff. I bet your dad is a pretty proud grandpa too! Getting the next generation ready.
