Once we are preparing the medications via ampules and vials, we have to be careful enough not to acquire injury, hurting ourselves. It is important to be wary of the preparation since it's a critical stage for our patient's healing process. Thank you for giving me this realization, I am grateful for this video!

This video gave me the knowledge on how to prepare and administer medications appropriately. I also learned that measures must be taken to prevent glass particles from being drawn into the syringe when aspirating medication from an ampule. Thank you for this enlightening video!

In this video it showed that before administering medication to the patient it is important to check first the medication label together with the ticket and administration record. Reading the labels will make sure you're using them properly and getting all of the benefits. It can also help prevent harmful side effects and prevent medication errors.

I experienced breaking an ampule during my ER duty, preparing medication and administering it through IM. After proper disposal of equipment, I noticed blood in my point finger and it was because of breaking the ampule. That experience will surely remind me to be careful next time .
