Rambutaans are very similar to Litchi, both are found in here in India. In Northern part of India, Litchi is available. In Southern Part of India, Rambutaan is available.

Actually there are varieties of this fruit, they usually differ in taste, morphology ( hair length, color, shape of the fruit exocarp; the thickness and texture of the meat or mesocarp of the fruit— there are two distinct types of this fruit in terms of meat, the first is you can easily separate the meat from the seed and its texture is firm, and the second type has its meat kind of difficult to separate from the seed and this type usually has more sour flavor)
