I would've put a 1972 gran torino sport in the list. Especially a q-code

I had a 300z just a few years back. Loved it.
Currently rebuilding an MG A. I prefer them to the latter MGs.

was lucky - drove 2 of these. '79 RX7 (introductory model) & '73 240Z (last yr. of 240) Great cars. Probably
defining "sports car" wouldn't include some of these classics...

I prefer the 50’s and 60’s cars but can’t argue that there are some great 70’s cars

Though not as big as the competition, the late 60s to early 70s AMC AMX and Javelin were great cars. I had a 1970 Mark Donohue Javelin, 390 4-speed, orange w/black stripes. I agree with this list though and still have a 77 Corvette.

I owned a 1970 MG Midget that I bought in 1976 for $500.
My left foot was reverse, and it would break down every 50 miles, but it was fun to drive.

I love the ole skool cars, each one had any original look, unlike today they all look a like.
The Corvette was always being modified especially in movies 2 examples Corvette Summer and the original Death Race 2000

Great list. I was an import mechanic in the 70’s so I have an affectation for 70’s automobiles.

I loved all these cars particularly wanted one of the Corvettes love that air of Corvette me and my wife got married at the age of 17 will soon be married 41 years at the age of somewhere between 18 and 19 we were ready to sign the papers we were getting ready to buy that it was used of course and just happened to think better check on the price of the insurance we could afford the car but we couldn't afford the insurance now we're so old I don't think we'll be able to get in and out of one great list

I liked the TR 6 but the 7 looked too modern at the time

Sports cars? Hardly, if you are including every pony car on the market at that time. Z28 and Boss 302, yes, but none of the mopar ponys were sports cars; they were too big and heavy. Also, any list of this sort that includes the TR7 and ignores the TR6 is just plain bogus. The TR7 was a train wreck, troublesome from the start, while the TR6 was more fun to drive and easier to service. And I do know - I ran a Triumph dealership during that period. FYI: the Midget was introduced as a 1962 model, and the best ones were the 1275cc ones; the 1500 was a Triumph engine that produced less power and was not as reliable or tunable. BL gave you the 1500 as a cost-saving measure, but any MG fan will swear to the superiority of the earlier cars...and the rubber bumper cars were just plain awful!
