Our Final Fantasy 14 journey continues! In today's video we will be taking a look at Hatching-Tide 2020, FFXIV's Easter event!

Welcome back to Tiny Blue Games! My name is Csaw or Chris, and today we are doing another FFXIV event. It's actually crazy, with so much going on in the world I didn't even realize that it was almost Easter. This is another egg-citing event, with some fun/creepy rewards!

As a relatively new ffxiv player, I have been enjoying giving my first impressions for the many different pieces of content this game has to offer. If you are interested in exploring the game yourself I suggest you check out the Final Fantasy 14 free trial. This trial lets you play the base game all the way to level 35, with no time restrictions. It was ultimately the free trial that convinced me to dive into the full game and the new Shadowbringers expansion!

👀 Are you wearing your bunny costume? Top, bottom, both, or neither?

✌ Please be sure to Like and Subscribe if you want more MMO content!

Go, right now, to Ul'Dah and pick up "The Rise and Fall of a Gentleman"

It is the *most* youtubeable questline in history

The bottomless rabbit is actually an NPC from a well-known series of questlines in the game. You can actually start the first part of that since you're 50 now and I would definitely suggest you look into it now and share your experiences with it. You can pick it up in Ul'dah: The Rise and Fall of Gentlemen from Wymond on Emerald Avenue. I'll leave it there for you to find out what it's all about.

Now that you completed the first half of ARR me and a lot of people are gonna urge you to do a certain quest chain that starts in Uldah called "The Rise and Fall of Gentlemen". Maybe then you'll have an idea of who that naked rabbit man could've been. Trust me, you won't regret it. It also gives you a few dances and emotes as well so can't go wrong with it.

If you want to know about the origin of the rabbit in underwear, since you've finished the base MSQ, you can work on that now. You can start a side story quest that's had installments all the way through Stormblood, and we're hoping to see some in Shadowbringers but it hasn't turned up yet. Go to Ul'dah and talk to Wymond on the street near the Adventurer's Guild and take the level 50 quest he offers. You won't actually get to that specific character for a few episodes (yes, episodes) but it WILL explain a lot when you get there.

For a less in-depth explanation, we'll say he's part of a comic-relief cast of characters that turns up every once in a while in lots of places, but makes cameos in quite a few of the seasonal events.

There are a few great things about the rabbit costume. 1: it's two pieces, so you can use just the body or just the head. 2: it's dyeable. 3: it's classless and level one, so you can put it on anything. 4: it's one of the few sets of gear that you can put in the Armoire, so you don't need to use any bank or dresser space to store it.

Wonder if Chris known about the event shop near the quest giver and able to get some extra goodies like the Dapper Easter bunny suit and some additional things like some housing decorations and stuff

You will want to make this the very next thing you do: Rise and Fall of Gentlemen-Ul'dah-Steps of Nald-X: 9.8 Y: 8.7.

Not only will you get to meet some of the game's more popular supporting cast members, but you will get some really fun rewards as well.

The quests between A Real Reborn and Heavenward were actually some of my favorites in the game - A lot of people say they're boring, but I thought the detail and symbolism they put into the world's magic system was absolutely fascinating, even when the action is slow.

Oh don’t worry, you’ll get to know the joy of a person that is the bottomless rabbit in a big sidequest.

I loved the second fate; the first day it was full of people so it was just one big bunny parade lol

Honey... please... go to the Inn and use the Armoire. You can store special gear in there (mostly seasonal event cosmetics, the reward cosmetics [strife outfit, wild rose set etc] and some of the purchased gear from the online shop). It costs 0 glamour prisms to put them away and you can use them on glamour plates. The only downside is that you can't dye them before applying them to a plate.

you can put the event stuff in the armoire. the rest of your glamour pieces will have to go in the glamour dresser. both of these things are in the in. Then you don't have to keep them in your inventory or in a retainer.

Every person in a rabbit suit is actually an NPC from other quests. Some of these cameos are actually pretty funny, while others are kinda sweet and endearing.

Hope you and yours are doing well in these interesting times. If you like little egg carriers (Spriggans) you can actually get one as a minion. They can be found for really cheap on the auction house and I would recommend it!

Ok, fun thing about this event... each of those bunnies you met are actual NPCs that you may or may not have interacted with in the story. The refined rabbit was Kan-E-Senna. You can tell by the way she speaks of nature and the pearly staff on her back. The "Well-oiled" Rabbit is someone you can meet in the near future and is part of a side quest series... the Hildebrand questline... that bunny is the owner of the Gold Saucer. There is a golden statue of him by the Cactpot counter and he has no pants there either. His name is Godbert Manderville. The third rabbit is... different. The third one you encounter is based on who you've already met up to that point. In my case, the bunny was someone connected to the Gunbreaker story (very new content). One of my friends had Suzaku (connected with Stormblood) as the bunny, and my new alt who is still in ARR met the same bunny as you.. I believe that was Mother Miourne, who heads the Gridania adventuring guild... you would have met her at the beginning of the game if you'd started there, which I think you did. Go back and rewatch the cutscene if you can :) it should make more sense. Also, throughout Gridania, there are bunnies you can see and talk to. I had a really fun time with some friends just seeing who we could see. Apparently one of them saw 3 bunny people on his end that weren't on mine (they were connected with Scholar). So, I don't know who all is roaming around your Gridania, but for those in the comment section - I found all 4 of the guardians in Hells Lid and a man connected to Cid with Alpha and a weapon nearby. Also saw Gerolt and Rowena, no mistaking those two after all the hoops I've jumped through for my relic weapons. TBG, the game has given you Easter eggs you didn't even know were Easter eggs. Oh, and I, too, wonder what's going on with Godbert's son.

Also.... This is an EASTER PARADE... what Parade do you know that just dashes through town with the sprint button pressed? XD You literally have no reason to do the event more than once unless you want more of the eggstra items like for your house or apartment/room if you have one.

lol that Gold bunny with the guard was really the leader of Gridania ^_^ (Seedseer Kan-E-Senna) the underwear bunny .... well lets say he's the owner of the Gold Saucer, the last one you got to is Mother Miounne from the Roost Inn
its fun with these types of events you can see/notice the NPCs you have met over the time of you playing ^_^ there's even NPCs standing around the event/decorated areas in the game (not in housing areas) in costumes also with only short dialogue to give hints on who they are .... the farther you go in the story the more ppl you get to see around <3 not only that but with your job quests as well

To further add to the recommendations to pick up the quest, that storyline is tied to three (and eventually, a fourth) unique trials that are easily missable if you don't pick up the quest.

Actually the bunny that give out the cookie changes to a red bunny if you do a certain four lord side quest in SB. Which i discover when my sister was doing this on her alt before she realize what I was talking about with the red one since she did her alt and no her main first.
The mini game was from the event from i think last year or the year before that.

First off, the main quest giver is actually a her, not a him (she's not normally in a bunny costume). She actually recognizes you if you've done Hatchingtide in a previous year (she's always the quest giver). Next, the first rabbit that gives you the egg with the guard, is Kan-E Senna, the leader of Gridania. You can recognize her by the staff (and the guard). Others have mentioned the half-naked guy, so I'll skip to the last one. You get a different NPC based on how far in the story you've got. Since you've only completed ARR, you got Mother Mionne, the owner of the Gridania adventurer's guild, where you got the quest for Tam-Tara Deepcroft.

During the FATE where you hand out eggs, there's a couple common NPCs that you see pretty much from ARR end-game onward, the Weaponsmith rabbit is a guy named Gerolt who basically makes all the relics in every expansion to date, and the Trader rabbit is Rowena, who is a major trader for players. She pops up a lot. They actually used to be married. Gerolt is pretty much always in debt to Rowena. They also take time doing it so you can talk to those two as they have dialogue commenting on things that you can relate to more as you know those two.

doesn't the msq introduce you to the famous well-oiled goldsmith in a quest in the hot springs of Upper La Noscea? or is it a side quest?
those pecks are unmistakable throughout Eorzea
