People say that RB2 needs 'Story mode'
To be honest, I already know the entire story, and most people have played at least 3 dbz game with a story. After having so much repeat of the story, I kinda like just having random challenges.

I only like Raging Blast 1 is because of the story. I didn't really like the Galaxy mode on RB2.

For the most part, if you play Raging Blast 1, you'll love it. If you play Raging Blast 2 after, you love it even more. If you play Raging Blast 2, then Raging Blast 1, Raging Blast 1 will feel stiff to you.

Do you think I should buy RB2 even if already have RB1 ?
The last dbz I bought was Xenoverse, and yeah, it is cool for the "mmo" mode but not for the gameplay... And that's why I want to buy RB2...in 2016... x)
Sorry for my english btw

1:30 Well, not exactly.I mean RB2 has some dialogue before a fight that is relevant to the manga/anime, most notabley the dialogue you get when you match Goku and saiyan saga Vegeta up.Also, the battles in galaxy mode have some relevance too.The boss battles are always battles that actually happen in DBZ and the team battles are often relevant, so galaxy mode isn't really completely random.

1 had a actual story mode, 2 had a better roster. 1 had better graphics. 2 had raging soul.

I think the original rb is better by far. First of all it has a story mode. Second, the plastic graphics of rb 2 look terrible compared to the more anime looking style of the original. And this is kinda small, bt I like being able to see what my character will look like in game from the character select screen. In rb 2, you can't see what your character's costume is until you're fighting. And what are the fighting improvements in rb 2 that make it better than the original. I liked te cancel system of the original way more

I think a better question is why didn't they just combine both aspects into one game?! One has story, the other has better gameplay. Where's the compromise?! All RB2 needed was a story mode and it would have been perfect! Instead you're torn between these two games because of one or two differences.(Excluding extra characters.)

EXCELLENT comparison. Succinct and considerate of what a person would want depending on their interests. This video was from a better time on YouTube...nice to find it in 2024.

The only mistake I made a long time ago was getting raging blast 1 I love the game but one of my favorite characters isn't in it which is ultimate gohan

I like Raging Blast 2 because of the ultimate combo that all characters can do but just in different ways with different buttons

I never played RB1, though I doubt they will ever make a "perfect" Dragonball game just because as soon as they do. They can't really make any more and won't be able to make anymore money from the series.

I like the solid attempt to fall on neither side thus keeping everyone happy when it seems to me like you wanna say RB2 is better.

Raging Blast 1 I find has better customization for Custom Characters and it seems easier to unlock the items used for the Custom slots. RB2 has better items and more of them as well a larger selection of characters, but you have to do Galaxy Mode if you want to increase their power level so you can put stronger items onto the character. Honestly, I like both and still play both regularly.

Raging blast 1 had the character customization as well so you could put different skills and abilities and cosmetics on different characters. And that has a really good tetris-like block system to where you could only fit certain skills in the skills box if you had room for it. Being able to give Vegeta a red aura and have lightning surround Tien was really cool. Not sure why they took that out, more customization is always better

Well, for me RB 1 felt tons more responsible, and the enemy didnt feel that overpowered, and it was more or less fair, but RB 2s difficulity level made me punch the wall, multiple times, I know RB 2 is good, deflecting is tons easier, Snap Charges are easy to pull off, but RB 1 has modes like Survival, that makes me like it, and the customization feels better in RB 1 too

I feel you inadvertently said which one was better. You may said one was not better than the other, but you said one had a better story mode and one had better gameplay. If you ask me, that basically said Raging Blast 2 is better, given at the end of the day, whenever I play any Dragon Ball Z game with friends, same with most people, we always jump into multiplayer. And if it plays better, well, there you have it.

Personally, if you are a huge fan of the series, buy Raging Blast for when it is just you and Raging Blast 2 for your friends. It is quite fitting in the names, really. "Raging Blast 1" play by yourself (one player), "Raging Blast 2" play with friends (two player). I feel like they planned this from the start, honestly.

till now the best story mode in a DBZ game is the one from DBZ Budokai 2, that J-RPG like map where you could choose your party before starting the chapter was really cool, and you dont need to do the exact same fights that you have already made in other DBZ story mode

I agree for the most part, but on the graphics department, I actually think it's RB1, because it looks more like the anime :)
