I'm pretty sure tasty counted the sauce as a layer. So they only had 50 layers of the pasta. So you actually did twice as much as tasty.

lol Buzzfeed considered their sauce and white sauce to be a layer too, so it wasn't 100 layers of pasta. I think they also set up the layers in a cross hatch style like a jenga tower for stability instead of just stacking every layer in the same direction.

1 pasta = 1 layer
