I disagree with the comment about the person playing not being very good, that gameplay is MUCH different than the one from Frontiers and the one from Space Colony ARK we had back then

He may not play like the Sonic Fans who are above the avarage casual player, but he's definetly playing really well, taking alternate paths like the ones by stomping on the ropes, boosting a lot more than the previous gameplays from SxSG and Frontiers, using Doom Blast and Chaos Control (both with the Chaos Control "Light Speed Dash" and freeze time ability) to show secret paths and collectables, using Chaos Spear and Doom Spear at the right time in the right enemies, etc. He's playing actually quite well

I feel the need to bring attention to the shortcut at 5:15, because I love it. You have to:

1. Get the chaos capsule
2. Use chaos control to stop the black glider thing
3. Use doom blast to warp up to a higher platform, this is the only way to get up there
4. Kill the enemies to fill chaos gauge again

And then you skip like half the surf section with a chaos rail as a reward.

I think the way the Mach Speed Section from Kingdom Valley looks is fine, in fact, I like the way it looks, since Shadow's original Kingdom Valley didn't even had that section, that's something Shadow didn't even went through, but people really wanted to see it, so it's just like a reminder, a nod to those people who wanted that section, but without taking the idea from the level, showing the section in a more simplified way, no strong rain, quite small, short, etc.

Of course, I would've loved to see it giant, open, with giant waves on both sides, a storm with lightning, Shadow running at full speed dodging falling debris, but I'm not mad at all by how it looks (and pls don't take this as if I'm just accepting mediocrity and don't like complains because I would just accept anything SEGA gives us, definetly have my critisisms regarding everything Sonic-related is just that I genuinely really think the section looks good the way it is)

i understand that you are frustrated that the gameplay has a lot of jump cuts throughout the video you reacted to, but you need to understand that certain people do not want to be spoiled before the full game comes out, especially that they have showed enough to get me exited, at least its not forces like, that's all that matters

About the end of Kingdom Valley, you can literally see several alternative pathways during it.
Also pillars just kind of being there is probably the most normal thing to see in a Sonic game.

And about Metal Overlord, Egg Dragoon in Gens played like that and that was probably the best boss in the game.

I guess SF is just gonna ignore the original water section was also a straight line with pillars in your way but its all good.

The most promising thing that I see in the Kingdom Valley gameplay is not just the length, but also a lot of alternate paths and _more interactive elements._ The major complaints from Forces and Frontiers has been addressed. If most levels in this game will be like Kingdom Valley, then it will be amazing.

I'm glad they didn't show the end of Kingdom Valley or anything. Mephiles "could" be the boss for that stage. I don't wanna know! I rather play the actual game myself and be surprised! Still, good gameplay. It keeps getting better and better!

I agree with Kingdom Valley's ending not being as hype as the original. It would've been cool to see Shadow maybe use Doom Surf and go from the left waterfall to the right

I think black doom warp thing is probably exclusive to Space Colony Ark Act 1 and no other act one but thats my opinon or thought process

honestly if the short mach speed section at the end of the level is the only ok part of it then damn I'm not worried about these levels cause genuinely besides that they have been cooking HARD with these levels

Man, that Metal Overlord boss fight looks a bit too automated for my taste. And considering the lackluster rival battle against Metal Sonic in the original, I just hope that it has a lot more meat to it. That way, my boy can be redeemed

I think it is a remix of What I'm Made Of! Guitars seem different, Johnny's voice is pretty much the same tho, no new mixing.

Also, hoping a 3rd Bossfight against Knight or Black Doom, and 3 or 4 rival fights, Sonic, Emerl, Mephiles and Infinite

And this may be a stretch, but actually revamping cinematics, retconning Sonic's timeline with the Sonic Generations remaster, and adding a Lost World + Forces + Frontiers levels could be awesome. We could even see events from the comics or Sonic Prime as bosses. Imagine a rival fight against Nine, or a Surge one. Or we could get a bossfight against Supreme, the Giant Powered Zavok from IDW or even a Nightmare Eggman from Sonic Dream Team. And you could even add levels for classic Sonic, with a Mania + Superstars + some other classic game, even Sonic 4. And have a Trip or Fang rival fight, and a bossfight against the Heavy King.

The potential of this game is absolutely endless.

At least the last part of the Kingdom Valley level is playable. It’s not a torturously unplayable Mach speed section.
