Sacrifice, Risk, and Success

A.J. Hoge, host of The Effortless English Show, discussed the necessity of sacrifice and risk in order to achieve success with English or anything else in life.

i really like this video. Because i knew and experienced the sacrifice. I had sacrificed for one year to focus completely on learning English. i quit my job, i didn't spend time watching movies, music and going out. i could count how many times i went out of my house. I had spent 12-14 hours per day learning English. i couldn't make a sentence and pronounce a word correctly. i overcame that hard time so i know that feeling. I can't say that my English is really good but i can basically  communicate with others in the different countries. I can learn English by watching videos in English. i also took a Toeic test and got 745 score. That score isn't so high but i'm satisfied with it. I had to do more than others because my starting point was lower than them. i still keep on listening to English videos every day although i have to work. But i will try to touch English as much as i can. Hope you guys do it too.

I went thorough a similar experience, however, instead of getting pissed off by mosquito hovering around, big rats were jumping on my body while I was sleeping in the beach. Fortunately, it was for few days. :)

The only thing - there is no "effortless" things, especially effortless language study. As for me - I am struggling to get to upper level, step by step.. Once more thank you very much for all your videos. They are really helpfull!
