This video is very helpful. I wish I would've looked this up two months ago because I've had two months of frustration with the remote.
I tried all of the features you highlighted and they worked pretty well especially the last channel button.
The only tweak to the video I would recommend is #6.
Once you are on the guide, the video says to 'press' the middle enter/OK button to receive a filtered guide with options.

Instead, "hold down" the middle enter/OK button to see the filtered guide menu he shared in his very helpful video.
Now that I saw this video, maybe maybe the remote will grow on me 😮

Thanks for this. The fact that you cannot simply go up and down one channel at a time is incredibly poor technology. Somebody actually thought let’s try to “rethink” the remote and make it our way? you need to have a channel up down button. Surprised they kept the volume up down button. And not having a 1 button “last channel viewed” also very annoying

It would be nice to see these shortcuts on the new Xumo remote. There is no gear button on the new remote.

The shortcut to the Spectrum guide is great, but u forgot to add that if you clicked the right arrow once for the mini guide, then one more time, the full guide will appear.

Terrible remote control. You can't just go up or down one channel at a time without having to push multiple buttons. I returned my box as I couldn't live with the remote. That fact that you have to post a video to explain how to use it tells all you need to know

Sorry but l like it. It takes am adjustment from the old Spectrum remote but it's well worth it. It's just not that hard if you sorry down for 10 minutes and explore it. Using these videos might help if you're having problems.
