When is the last time you had to decide between water or a favorite childhood snack at the store? Often times we do not realize how much we take for granted items like a toothbrush, deodorant or even our favorite gas station snack. Blessing Bags are something that you can conveniently have in the trunk or front seat of your car that you can give our to the homeless community in your town!
Jesus gives clear instruction in the Bible to help the poor…

The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

Matthew 25:40-45

As daughters (and sons) of the King, we should be ready and willing to help those around us who are less fortunate!

Hi, I just did this today and had a great conversation with the 2 gentlemen who were the recipients of the blessing bags. It was a nice moment.

I really think you did a great job on these. A lot of times church groups will throw in the cheapest items. My daughter and I got turned on to the idea through our church but we jacked it up a bit. I like to add in those Lindt chocolate balls as a luxurious treat. I treat it kind of like Christmas stockings. Yes, essential items but also something just for fun. When I asked a homeless gentlemen what he would like to receive in these bags he suggested single serve instant coffee packs. They can drink the water and then refill the bottle with hot water and have a coffee. I like to buy wool socks and heavy duty winter gloves because I live in Maine. But that does make the cost of the bags go up quite a bit.

A Book 📖 Light 💡 Adult Coloring Book 📘, Colored Pencils ✏ I'm Certain Any Of These Inclusions Would Be Most Appreciated. And IF The Person Has A pet With Them It would Be Kind to include at least A small bag 👝 of dog 🐕 food or cat 🐈 food for their companion Animal. ( They Even sell Small Bags At Dollar 💵 Tree 🌳. Now) And There is typical a 💲 1Spot for pet food ( small quantitty) at Dollar 💵 General. And Family Dollar 💵
