This is one of the reasons I still listen to Pastor John. I love how avidly prolife he is. I love that he is unapologetic about the Bible truth. I love he hasn't compromised, like some teachers I used to respect.

"mMaintenance if spiritual proportion" is a phrase I've never heard before, but I think will be very useful to me in the future. Thank you Pastor John!

Amen pastor john. I’m new to the pro life fight, as I’ve grown in my faith enough to realize the spiritual warfare that we’re engaged in our own hearts and in society around us. It’s crazy, but it feels good to be on the winning side:)

Jas 4:3 "You desire and do not have, so you murder." goes right to the heart of abortion. This is the schoolmaster that is missing in many churches that can lead the women and men involved in the culture of murder to repentance.

Listening to this podcast episode, which I am so glad was recorded and posted today, I am encouraged by the observations that Piper made to keep praying that God's name will be hallowed as he continues to perform his acts of grace, mercy, and justice to the salvation of the lost. I am also saddened by our continuing to overlook some things in order to give emphasis to other things which is reflected in some of what Piper wisely said.

That Roe v. Wade was overturned is cause for much rejoicing regardless of the ramifications it will have on culture because it is first and foremost evidence that God is at work in the affairs of human beings and he has the power to restrain evil and enforce justice, and as he does that minimally throughout history in great and unexpected ways, he gets the attention of Christians who may be discouraged by the pervasiveness of evil and encourages them to keep hoping in him and looking forward to the day of Judgment when all sin will be dealt with and justice will prevail forever. This should also spark a fire in Christians to engage more in the fight of advancing the kingdom of God through evangelism in all sectors of life including and beyond abortion. Abortion should never have been legal because it was man in effect saying that murder is in some cases acceptable to people made in the image of God if their existence should so happen to be inconvenient or undesirable to 'superior' image bearers of God, which is not true. The overturning of this as a constitutional right should be a launching pad for Christians to hammer home the fact that from conception all people are equally made in the image of God and thus have a right to the defense of their life regardless of the circumstances in which they were conceived, therefore killing them is wrong. This should be made clear and relevant to the mothers carrying their babies and intending to murder them not only because we care about the life that is about to be terminated, but just as importantly, and I would even argue more importantly, we care about the mother's eternal destiny that is in jeopardy by her obstinacy to sin against God and not repent and trust in the Lord Jesus for salvation and eternal satisfaction.

Mothers need to know that we don't want them to kill their babies because we don't want their hearts to further be hardened against God and for them to continue to store up wrath for themselves on the day of judgment for their murder and unrepentance, and that in Jesus is a better way of life. They also need to know that even if they do go forward with the abortion there may yet be hope for them because of the grace and mercy of God should they repent and trust in Christ, but if they don't, them killing their baby is a symbolic act and forshadowing of their own death, but unlike their baby who will be going to heaven, they will perish forever and never be comforted but always reminded of and condemned for what they did. A lot of women actually convince themselves that when they get an abortion they are actually helping their baby by preventing them from having to endure the sufferings of life, and so that justifies them, but if they had in their mind that it is God's right alone to decide what blessings and sorrows befall a person and that he is able to redeem anyone's life from destruction, and also that while they may think that abortion helps the child it actually hurts their own life then they may in some cases make a different decision, even if that means they only carry the baby to term.

My point is, though, that more than the presevation of the babies' lives, which most Christians believe will be preserved in heaven if they are killed, is the eternal state of the life of the person(s) considering murder, and they need to be bombarded with a biblical worldview and the Gospel, which most have never heard before, so they will know how abortions affect them and not just their babies, because otherwise, let's say that the mothers do keep the babies but they deprive them and hate them and no one is the better. As Christians, EVANGELISM must be at the heart of everything we do socially and politically because if not God is not glorified and no significant difference is made. The hearts of those who desire to have an abortion need to be addressed long before their actions for their babies' live and for their own ETERNITY.

1:26 what should Christians be doing; what has been your answer to the question, “what should i do ?”

12:27 what’s your own reaction to the SCOTUS decision in this most recent news ?

16:48 what did you mean when you said, “the real post roe v wade challenge will not be how to make abortions hard to get, but how to make them hard to approve of in the human heart” ?

That doctor that talked to Pastor John was really clueless, huh? I guess he doesn't know about 18 years of child support in order to say that "men can have sex and face no consequences"

I am thankful for John Pipers work against abortion. I do however recall Piper condemning the idea of voting for a pro-life Donald Trump, because he was mean etc. Thank God Piper didn’t prevail in his denunciation of Trump, the president who gave us 3 pro-life justices who were responsible for this victory of overthrowing Roe. Again, I am thankful for all John Piper has done for the cause, with the exception of his mishandling of his political mind-fog (which doesn’t include his seeming silence on the injustices done in the name of social justice).

I love pastor John. He is such an inspiration on this issue. But I am somewhat disappoint after linstening this episode. Pastor John listed what he has done for pro-life, but is still unwilling to give any credit to President Trump. I wonder if we could go back in time, would Pastor John vote Trump for the sake of those babies?

Adoption is one solution, but can still be quite traumatic for the birth mother and the adopted child.

In what ways are we as a community of Christ-followers ministering to the immediate needs of single mothers so that the mother and child can remain together and thrive in Christ? (And families with two parents, who may already be raising other children, and may be financially unable to afford another child?)

Financial assistance, regular reliable childcare, and providing the daily support of a village that it takes to raise a child. . . These are responsibilities we all share if we are truly to be one body united in Christ.
