The blade finish is apocalyptic. The notch in the new style bayonet is a sharpening choil.

Apocalyptic is the blade finish, which is basically a heavy stone/acid wash finish. The notch/sharpening choil is an update on the bayonet models allowing the user to easily sharpen the top edge of the blade.

Just snagged one for $258 shipped from NC blade. Even for the price I paid I feel like I got a hell of a deal. Closest ultratech I found to this is just shy of $500 and doesn’t have magnacut. Thanks for the review!

The notch in the blade is because its a double edged bayonet, rather than the regular bayonet blade where the top grind is a false edge and not sharpened. 👍🏽

Dang boy!! Flossin' hard!! 💥 OMGoodness!! That's so cheap compared to the usual cost!! That one is quite nice! I like that blade & I have yet to have anything with the frag pattern believe it or not! I wish they'd get rid of the glass breaker. Everyone complains, you'd think they'd come up with a way to turn it around or something. Thanks for sharing! That's hot!! 🔥🔥🔥
