A little misleading, this effect is present but you changed the pace between topspin and backspin. With a slower shot the black ball has time to gain topspin from the table, and thus follow the red in, when hitting the ball harder (like in your topspin shot) the black ball slides more, not developing as much natural topspin. Im not saying the cue ball spin doesnt have an effect, it does, however the main cause of the effect is the shot speed.

The cue ball with backspin hits the 8-ball with an upwards rotation. Since the 8-ball is sitting still, it receives said rotation on the opposite, making it gain downwards rotation and thus creating topspin

Think of every shot as gears. What you do to the first is opposite on second and so on. Up to about 3 balls then the effect drops off to nil.

Back Spin: Cue Ball goes in the opposite direction of the ball.

Right Spin: Cue Ball moves to the right. For example lets say you are aiming your cue ball onto a rail, when you make your shot and you use right spin the cue ball will bounce to the right up and down.

Left Spin: Cue Ball moves to the left. For example let’s say you are aiming your cue ball on to a rail, If you make your shot anf you use Left Spin, the cue ball will bounce to the left up and down.
