Thank you Pastor Guzik. I see that the passage points to Jesus in this way: Laban pursues hotly pursues Jacob intending harm and even threatens his life. Our Lord and savior pursues us to lavish his love on us and to give us life and rest.

Thank brother and pastor David, for allowing our Fathers Holy Spirit to; beautifully speak through you. Please pray for me, that I can allow Him to work through me, and that I won’t be hesitate to listen, learn and be still with Him.
I realized I’ve been the one to resist His love and protection, because of the lie of was taught, that I’m not enough, and I don’t deserve love. He just taught me that wanting Him to be proud of me is dangerous. I realized, this isn’t a what Lucifer thought. ( I could be wrong about that, and maybe it’s just a message to me?) either way, I feel His presence and great love; so awesomely now!!! I don’t have the desire to make Him proud, I just want to love Him and do His will. I love our Lord Jesus Christ because He’s the only person whom has ever loved me in my life. Elohim, is the Most Beautiful and amazing truth I’ve ever known in my entire life!! Thank you Father for helping me understand, these past 2 1/2 years is what working out my faith means! lol 😆
The hardest thing I’ve ever experienced in my life, but the most fulfilling venture in history for all!

The audacity of Laban, God had warned him to watch what he said to Jacob, but yet he still threatened him. 😬

I really enjoy these bible studies. I feel like they are accurate and packed with historical information. For example, I didn’t know that shepherds had to return the carcasses back to its owner. I found this piece of information to be helpful to see the bigger picture. Thank you 🙏🏽

I think it could be possible that Laban's household idols were made of precious stones. I come from East Asia and there are a lot of idols and shrines and temples. One commonality they tend to share is they are made of valuable materials, such as gold, silver, jade, sandlewood, agate, or white marble, and they are typically carved and painted quite exquisitely. The antic ones that are passed down with history is even more expensive. This may be one of the most valuable and expensive thing in Laban's house, and since Rachel felt that her father sold her and cheated her out of her inheritance, she very well could've could just thought she would grab a quick buck as she was packing before her departure.

I agree with the 3rd analogy that the household items were possibly costly and she took them because she felt entitled to something of financial worth from her father.
