When was this move first used in mainstream pro wrestling? I thought of it when I was a kid in 1987 or so. I partially demonstrated it on my friend Tom when I thought of it, i.e., he let me put him in an inverted facelock and then I said, "Now imagine if I were to drop down like a DDT." I called it a "reverse DDT." I'd never seen or heard of anyone doing such a move at the time. Tom and I figured that people must have thought of it before I did, since it seems like such an obvious variation of the "DDT" that Jake Roberts made famous, but we guessed that it was probably considered too dangerous to actually use in pro wrestling.
