Yuune’s anim… it really hits hard, cause I’ve had times where I feel like that kid, like I was alone, but I am very fortunate that I had people, that I know I could hug, and would love me. To all those people and to Yuune, thank you for that. Cause one person is enough to change so much. Yuune, your representation of this feels so real to me.

The number 1 actually made me tear up... All of it is amazing, but the message at the end is really what got me. Did not expect to see something so powerful in this contest, really glad I watched.

Tears turned into darkness that devours everything around it;
A light that helps calm the darkness - grief and embrace

That last one was really beautiful in all of its glory. I saw most if not all of the metaphors there.
This is what I've understood so far:

First is the black tears that spew out of control. The worst episodes are the ones that come by surprise especially from pent up emotions. You never know when they suddenly come out.
Then the tears turning into a large serpent. A metaphor of the danger someone's emotion can bring to their surroundings and to themselves.
Then as the guy stands up, his condition becomes more visible to people. The black tears surround his back as like a final show of his emotions. (These behaviors are most of the time subconscious. A final cry for help.) Some people then reach out and try to help but ultimately fail as they are pushed back or hurt by the unconscious actions of the guy.
And finally one bright person defeats the serpent and pushes through every wave of darkness to save the guy. Oh and I forgot to mention about the cliff. He was about to jump off hence the zombie looking people reaching out who weren't actually 'bad people' but are depicted as such because some people mindlessly tell others to not give up without actually having a genuine care about that person's life.
The guy and the one who saves him also both look identical so its probably done this way to leave it up to our interpretation. Either we save ourselves or there's that special someone that saves us.
That's all that I understood from the animation and I know there may be many things I missed so I'll leave that for you guys to tell me. Anyways, such a beautiful animation with a beautiful message. <3

These are all so inspiring! Each one had me wondering how the next could possibly be better than the last, and then Yuune came around and nearly had me in tears!! I don't cry over media often, but it was so profound and moving that it was hard to keep myself from full on sobbing! I hope that they can find all the recognition they deserve, skill like that is hard to cultivate.
