I really enjoyed your video. I have been making "Be good to yourself" baskets and theme baskets for gifts, for my church bazaar, and for raffle items for a group I belong to. I have made sugar scrubs, candles, soaps, bath salts, crocheted dish cloths, ornaments, table runners, etc. I buy clearance soaps (bar and pump), candles, stationery items, lotions, etc. throughout the year. I thrift a lot of my baskets, give them a scrub, and often a new coat of paint or clear coat. I often find brand new items at yard sales or thrift stores, too. My theme baskets are usually snowman, Santa, angel, red truck, gardening, or gingerbread-oriented. After Christmas, I buy dish cloths, dishes, pens, ornaments, napkins, cooky cutters, Christmas cards, etc. with those themes. No two are ever the same and everyone enjoys them!

Really great ideas. Some I wouldn’t have thought of. Just a little tip: to keep heavy items (the can of syrup, the bottle of coffee, jams, honey, etc.) from sinking into the basket—or whatever you choose to put your items in—keep a stock of florist foam on hand. You can cut it lengthwise using a serrated knife, put a few slices in the bottom before covering up with filler, tissue paper, whatever. Also if I am doing something “kitchen” related and am using a towel, sometimes it can be used rather than filling or along with it. The cooking mitt was adorable. If you got carried away picking up items or your items are a bit big you can tuck the wooden utensils into the mitt. If your spa recipient loves a glass of wine while she’s spa-ing and you can find it, pick up a small bottle of her favorite, look for a pretty wine glass (they also have some that are funny) and add them to her basket. I used to have a book of items you could use including homemade sugar scrub that smelled wonderful. It all depends on how involved you want to get. You can still keep it reasonably priced if you shop at bargain places or search for items at the end of different seasons. When you hollowed out the pumpkin I thought you were going to put a tea light candle holder inside as well as a fragranced candle. I shouldn’t have watched this. Got all kinds of ideas swirling around! Merry Christmas to all!!
