Blue Plate is yolk only. It was one of the first commercial mayonnaise made in the US and easily the best US mayonnaise. It has limited availability but where its at it is the standard. I haven't had Japanese yet so idk.

The way everybody is falling off their chairs for kewpie mayo When Europeans have been saying that American dislike for mayo is based in American mayo being bad and European mayo is exactly like kewpie mayo, yellow and yolkey from the beginning.

i've been seeing many people using kewpie mayo and i thought "well great, another ingredient i can't ever use 🙄" but uhm... apparently it's just what i've been eating all my life. we only use the yolks in my part of europe as far as i know.
(i'm from switzerland and we often have a hard time getting ingredients that international people use in videos etc. since we're a tiny country and would have to get lots of things from asian markets but those only exist in the cities whereas many of us live on the countryside. so we often have to use alternatives in international cooking which can be a hassle)

I don't know how people can say that something is good that they barely touch their tongue with and didn't even start chewing yet, I have to chew it a little bit to really get the flavor not just barely put in my mouth and talking about " Emmm it's good"! Lol

The reason why Japanese mayo taste better isn’t because they only use egg yolks. It’s literally just because it has MSG and the other Mayos don’t. Nothing more, nothing less.

I finally got a bottle of that Kewpie mayo just like the one you have there. I expected it to be something like Miracle Whip with a tang, it wasn't...in fact it was kind of bland to me.

American mayo is not a thing. Mayonnaise refers to all things and people from Maho, the capital city of the balearic island Menorca, which is where the Mayonnaise sauce was created, note that the island was under French rule, hence the name mayonnaise= from Maho
