The Istanbul Archeological Museums are home to more than a million of Turkey's historical objects. But the three buildings that house the collections fell into despair, and are getting a makeover. The main building recently re-opened to the public and Aadel Haleem got a chance to check it out.

Most artifacts are Greek but Turks are afraid to identify them as such

The UN should force Turkye to pay taxes to Greece and Armenia from the profits it makes off of these museums and old ruins ... Turks are nomads from central asia who created Turkye by occupying Anatolia/Byzantium (Greek and Armenian lands), and now they make profits from the archeology of the greeks(byzantines) and the Armenians . I'm not insulting turks but it is only fair that greeks and armenians should get a fair share of the touristic profits from their ancestors relics and ruins

Poor artifacts!! I hope they don’t destroy them! Or even sell them to private collectors.
