This is exactly what my 7 year old brother is like, and no matter how many times I, a 13 year old who is constantly stressed out from homework and school, have told my parents that the IPad is the problem and they really need to set limits, they still won’t listen. Since my brother has extremely frequent outbursts and is glued to the IPad even with his friends, I have practically made a vow to make sure my 4 year old brother doesn’t end up like him (he’s pretty spoiled, but is practically never on his IPad, which is just the old one that doesn’t work as good), and that I never raise an IPad kid. Although my parents push me beyond my limits, both physical (I am almost always dizzy/lightheaded, and am seeing a doctor for it, but my dad is still making me do fencing, which is quite intense), and mental (my mom, who grew up with a narcissistic parent and was expected to be perfectly, tries to make me have straight A’s but didn’t want to stress me, but I recently told her that it’s fine to have some B’s, and instead of trying to keep my grades from dropping to a B, I told her to keep it from a C, which is much more manageable, and puts less stress on me), I am extremely grateful that they refrained me from having an IPad, no matter how much I wanted one, and raising me into a kind and empathetic person.
