UPDATE: I want to report that this update from 8GB to 32GB ram is a life changer! I can edit 10 + minutes of 4K video footage without having to wait forever just to cut and move clips around. My computer finally responds as quick as I want it to. I have not tested it on any games as of yet, but I can only imagine. Thanks for watching!

Thanks I finally did this to my G7. Had mine for a long time. This will start giving it a new lease on life. SSD upgrade is next. Gotta buy the Sata ssd and a new M.2.

Hey for someone like me that doesn’t know anything about computers and who has a learning disability these hands on tutorials like yours on how to install ram sticks are very valuable to me! When it comes to installing my own parts on cars I’m where I belong because it’s big and I’ve been doing it for over 20 years but for something so small like a pc or lap top doing my own installs like this is fear inducting for me! It’s small but expensive to replace or have someone else repair after I’ve messed it up! And with as old as my lap top is the repairs could be more costly then just buying a new lap top with everything I wanna install into this case! The ram card and a new 2teribyte ssd drive are next! But I’m having that done because I’m having them transfer all my programs and games over to the new ssd drive for me! That way all I have to do is simply turn the lap top on input my passwords and get back to playing! I also watched another video on how install the ram sticks into my gaming pc as well! Now both my gaming pc and gaming lap top both have 32 gig ram sticks! Have to say I’m upgrading the ssd drives in both the pc and lap top just putting in a much larger ssd drive in the pc and a couple of the same sized ones at that! I don’t wanna have to mess with them again over time! The pc has an had drive as well which I’m going to replace with a 1 teribyte ssd drive I bought last year! I’m gonna go with aside from that with two more 5 teribyte ssd drives and will replace the ssd drive that has my pc’s operating system on it! I’d just rather have all my old games and new games in the future installed onto ssd drives!

16gb ram is doing me insanely well on Dell G7 7790 all high spec. Gaming is amazing. But still plan on buying 32gb when it comes back in stock next week. Just checked newegg. 32gb is my preffered ram amount. My desktop also high end is 32gb but will probably go 64 on the next upgrade.

I hope you respond to this question since this video has been here for so long. I also want to upgrade my memory (storage) currently, my laptop can only hold up to 218 GB of storages. I have not yet touch the inner part of my laptop, nor I have I upgraded anything, what kind of ssd would you recommend for me to buy? I am using this laptop for gaming and such. I am hoping to get a ssd between 1TB to 2TB. Do you have any recommendations that is compatible with the laptop?
