THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS | Aston Martin V8

“I’ve had a few optional extras installed.” Bond utilises the Aston Martin V8’s array of gadgets in THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS (1987). Stunt Supervisor Chris Corbould said: “We had to fire the Aston Martin up a ramp to go over the hut. Because of the extreme cold on the first attempt, rather than firing off like mad the car just went ‘blump’ straight into the side of the hut. It was a total disaster.”

Timothy Dalton deserves much more recognition as 007.
This movie and "Licence to kill" are amazing.

Dalton was a huge fan of the books so played it close to what was written, especially in Licence to Kill. He was excellent and I wish he had made more

Possibly the most criminally underrated Bond film.

I’m so glad Timothy has a fanbase these days. His darker take on Bond was ahead of his time. It’s sad he doesn’t have a third film, but we are glad we do have two fine films with him in.

Dalton walked so Craig could run.

Timothy Dalton is particularly good in this sequence. The one liners are delivered impeccably.

The V8 vantage is probably my favourite bond car. The car itself is beautiful, seemingly england's answer to the ford mustang, and all of the gadgets are really fun. Plus it has Dalton behind the wheel which is a huge point in its favour

When you consider that this isn’t even the best scene in the film and it’s still amazing, that’s how good the living daylights is!

My god, that Aston is a thing of beauty! The gadgets make it look all the meaner.

One of the best scenes in the franchise. And John Barry’s score for this film is sublime.

Dalton is the most underrated Bond ever - if it weren’t for the legal issues in the early 90’s, he would of done at least two more Bond films before signing off. Still, it’s great to see him getting the credit he so rightfully deserves.

The 80s are greater than ever. Fit men and women, glorious cars, amazing products and beautiful music

we got cheated out of more Dalton 80s bond. Fun, but not too much camp. Very cool Bond. Plus that music makes this 10/10

I was just a kid in the 1980s - I realize now it is a terrible shame Dalton didn't have more movies.

To me, Dalton is more like the Bond of the books. More gritty, tougher, moody. No one liners and raised eyebrows. He was hugely underrated.

The A-Ha/John Barry collaboration is magic

Timothy Dalton was a great Bond. Wish he did his third movie, because he was realing starting to rock in "License To Kill".

Why Dalton has not received Knighthood is bothering me! This man has consistently put in incredible performances & he is my favourite Bond as well. Just look up his performance in Penny Dreadful as Sir Malcolm Murray or any work he has done...he is simply amazing.
