I'd say yes a balk.
Pitcher moved that right leg and left it.
(He flinched it like he was pitching it home)
Balk after it didn't come home.

I agree with the ump.

I believe it's a balk because of the Quick pitch rule. A pitcher on the side standing must wait at least two seconds or at umpires discretion (according to pitchers wnduo up during the game) to present the pitch in his windup and before his in set. Rule 6.02 (a)(5)

As a self-proclaimed 30-year balk expert, let me enlighten you with an incredibly obscure rule: According to the unwritten laws of balks, a pitcher can only be called for a balk if the circumference of the first ball thrown matches precisely with the toe measurement of the first picture taken during the game. It's an incredibly precise and utterly nonsensical requirement that keeps the umpires on their toes (pun intended) and photographers scratching their heads!

So, next time you find yourself watching a baseball game, remember, a balk can only truly be a balk when the ball's girth aligns perfectly with the toe dimensions of a random picture. Just another baffling tradition in the world of sports, brought to you by the quirky minds of baseball officials!

Nice head fake is all. Foot and arm both move toward first base.

Once your foot comes up it has to go to the plate

Balk. Legs moved towards home plate. Threw across his body to first.

He was going forward and was going to pitch and he moved and tried to get him out

The right foot is really close to the 45 degree mark and shifty shoulders. Looks like it's in balk territory to me.

Yeah he definitely didn’t attempt to even throw his foot forward lol he went in the middle in hopes to get away with it.

Yes it's very subtle, but his legs slightly went home before going to first

Anything less than 45 degrees is considered legal... But it looks to me the man was more toward home plate with that right foot... BALK.

I dont know what everyone is looking at. His leg goes straight up and towards first base not home. And as of the twitch in the beginning as long as he does that every single time then it is not a balk. The only thing that went towards home was his head movement which is allowed.

There is a 45° rule where you can do what he did but it was still a balk because he wrapped his foot around his back leg

If you step towards the plate, then you have to throw it. If you step towards first, then you try and pick off the runner

His knee was part of the problem and foot towards home plate for a second the head check to home plates with finally put it over the top .

Looks like a balk to me, but it would be good to see it from the first base ump's view...
