ABOUT UNFTR
Unf*cking the Republic (UNFTR for short) is a longform podcast that covers U.S. politics through a progressive socioeconomic lens. Each episode is a deep and delicious audio dive into a particular subject that helps explain how we arrived in Bizarro America, the funhouse mirror version of what was originally intended. The UNFTR YouTube channel is designed to break some of these larger concepts into smaller more digestible pieces.

Alright, I'm not going to hide it anymore. I see what you're doing and I say that it is FAR better than that sh*t stain video mill that calls itself a U. This episode made me think that a quickie on Hayek would be nice, or complete unf*cking perhaps. Brilliant as always UNFTR team. Not sure if it is just me but the frame rate seems to drop and the audio gets slightly off on the past two videos. Keep 'em coming Max!

Good. It showed me how much you can do in 22 days.

Wouldnt staying on the gold standard work as a deflationary currency model? Because the finite supply of gold, more and more people would want it causing everyone's money to increase in value over time. Instead we have banks like the Fed able to print money out of thin air leading to everyone's money decreasing in value. Exactly like the inflation we are seeing today.

I remember hearing about this in Conservative circles like Rush Limbaugh or the Hillsdale Dialogue. Maybe even Ezra Klein, but I don’t remember what episode it was where he interviewed an economist who talked about such a system.
