Hey Guys! Here's a new "episode" of this new series (maybe?) called squishy bakeovers. If you guys like this i will do more of course. this was a lot more challenging than the first video where i made blondies, but I still had fun with it! I decided to try to make French Macarons for the first time (against my better judgement) even after reading that they are very advanced and super hard to master. I found an "easy" recipe for beginners that's supposed to be fool proof. Not sure if its quite fool proof....

REMEMBER. I am not the best at baking, but I try and have fun. Try not to get triggered.

REPEATED COMMENTS:
"That's not how you separate egg yolks"
–I've seen the egg shell transfer thing before, but the recipe suggested to use your hands so that's what I did

"That's not a hand mixer"
–HAHA yes I know. I'm not THAT clueless haha. That's why I shouted "HAND MIXER?!" My stand mixer is the only mixer I have

VIDEO FACTS:
–Filmed this from 9am-6pm....yes. that's how long it took me to make ONE macaron LOL. To be fair though, I was operating 2 cameras and 4 lights on my own as well soooo it's not too bad...i guess
–Started the video with freshly painted nails. Ended with not a single spec of nail polish. I had really cheap crap on and it just completely peeled off. Also, stained my fingernails really bad, so they look so gross in the end sorry

It seems the trigger in this video is how I separated the yolks. I actually am aware of the egg shell technique, but the video I watched suggested to try separating with your hands, so I gave it a shot. 1:58

I used to work in a bakery and you always put the piping tip in the bag. It's the only way it will stay and you can't risk it falling on to cake, pies, ect.

You did it right.

As someone who does alot of baking, these actually turned out really well. My first macarons were horrifying to look at!

I think you did a great job and I'm seriously impressed that you actually made macarons, I couldn't be arsed doing all that lol. With the exception of the colour, I think it came out pretty close to the squishy too. I hope you make more of these videos, they're fun.

You were correct when you put the tip on the inside of the bag. I know this because I watch a lot of professional bakers and that is what they say to do

Actually Moriah, you are correct with putting the tip in the piping bag. Putting it on the outside will do nothing. LOVE YOU

why are people triggered about how you separated the yolks.
you literally just made an exact replica of something you PAINTED and instead of a hoorah you get backlash on how you separated the yolks.

Guys, *macaroons* are coconut based, *macarons* are what we are familiar with, the colored dessert usually sold in France. (Just to clear up the debate between macarons and macaroons)

Everyone yelled at you for cracking the egg on the bowl and not the counter?! What?! I hate it when people do that. It makes a mess on the counter! (Like you said)
