Показать описание
The Orbea KEMEN SUV 30 is an adventure commuter equipped with sturdy aluminum alloy fenders, bright well-positioned integrated lights, and an optional range extending battery pack shaped like a water bottle. Available in two frame styles and four frame sizes for improved fit, three colors to match your style or stand out for safety, and the purpose built frame protects and hides most cables and wires. Knobby off-road tires include puncture protection and reflective stripes. Highly adjustable air suspension fork with sturdy Boost hub spacing, and 15mm thru-axle. Powerful Shimano EP8 mid-drive motor. The primary battery pack is not easily removable for transport or charging. If you get the range extender, it must be charged independently from the main pack. The charge port is low on the frame near the left crank. The bike power button is separate from the control pad.

I love bikes that can run everywhere, have all equipment and look that good.

Hay -- Just a quick comment! That was a great review for a great bike, Orbea also seems to have priced it right also. Over all the years, your reviews have been consistent and have improved along with e-bikes

Hi, I've got this bike in black. It is a total all rounder. I've ridden it through rough wet muddy farm tracks, country lanes and cycle paths and I've always felt confident. Excellent range without the extra battery. Yes the handle bars are too wide, I cut 90 mm off mine. Great review as always but you didn't mention the rear lamp is also a brake lamp of sorts. Keep up the good work.

Love what they've done with this bike, and it's priced very well considering everything. Also, love the bright frame color for looks and safety. So many bikes are so bland in color.

Thanks Court,
As always great job on the review.
Decent Bike for under 5k yet missed the mark on not having this as a Class 3.

My wife and I have the SUV 10 version. The Fox fork has dedicated fender mounts so you don’t have the weird strap going around the arm. Also, the newer version did away with the power button at the bottom of the down tube. The 10 has a dropper post also which is quite nice to have. Since I can’t use the suspension seatpost, I went with a Brooks B67 sprung saddle which smooths out the bumps. Really like how natural the motor feels also. I’m use to Bosch CX motor which doesn’t feel all that natural. I’ve not found anything I don’t like about it really.

An ebike specific drivetrain is huge. A big drawback of a a typical mid-drive bike is that they use a standard bicycle drivetrain that is designed to handle way less torque so you are breaking chains, wearing out chainrings and cassettes. That is the major advantage of hub drive bikes. Disappointing that the bars are almost straight with little sweepback, you can expect wrist pain on long rides.

I'm surprised that belt drive does not seem to have caught on more for higher end ebikes in the US.

I really like this bike. I'm considering the SUV 10. I wish the battery was bigger, but overall a nice looking bike with some nice components. My first choice would be a Riese & Muller Supercharger, but no local dealers for service which is making me look for other options.

You have incredibly informative reviews, thank you for being so thorough! I really like this e-bike, but I'm also considering the Orbea Gain M30F because it's a lot lighter than this bike... Keep up the fantastic job! 🤓

Great to see in-depth review of this... Any plans on reviewing the Orbea Urrun?

Debating between the two. The Urrun seems like a good base to build out my own hardtail tourer (or do I just get a spare battery for my OHM Cruise!).

They look good! I’m new to e-bikes! I’ve heard that shimano motors can fail & you can’t get parts or get the motors serviced?

I like your ebike presentations very much. May I point out that there is an "L" in Schwalbe. And it is pronounced. It is German for swallow which has 2 "L"s.

Great reviw. I see your riding a medium-sized version. What height are you if you don't mind me asking.

Between this, the Vado SL 4 EQ, and the canyon Pathlite:ON, which one would you pick? Does the orbea feel heavy or difficult to ride if the battery runs out?
