my opinion is the best jump up came out in 97, followed by the shaping up of the style in 96... but in 98, things started going a different way. hardstep's best years were 98-99, and techstep's best years were 2000-2003, peaking in 2001. drum and bass peaked in 1997, but chill dnb stayed good through it all from 95-2001.
