There is only one car in the garage with the “it” factor. The start up, takeoff with the slow take up on the clutch put a smile to my face. FordGT all the way!

The Tesla wall connector is a better option than that wolfbox charger. The Tesla one costs $20 more ($420), charges quicker (48 amps), has a better handle (actual Tesla handle) and can be VIN locked to only allow certain cars to charge on it (if you want to if installed outside).

The model Y might not be fast compared to the plaid, but for an SUV and the average daily driver it's crazy quick. 0-60 in 3.5ish seconds is definitely getting close to supercar territory.

Brooks, can you please include 0 to 60mph times without using launch control in the future? I have had Aventador SV, NSX Type S, F8, 992 Turbo S. While 0 to 60 times using launch control is a good bench mark, it does not fully translate to everyday situations. I felt 0 to 60mph without using launch control is better indication of how a car will perform in everyday situation and better bench mark for how respondsive and efficient a car is.

Take 992 Turbo S for example, nearly one of quickest car using launch control. But if launching without launch control, there is a long pause off the line.

Great rundown on your garage, Brooks. Ford GT is my favourite - so real and analogue, plus timeless design.
Thinking of a Model Y getting into the 10's is just disturbing to me - mainly bc the idea of average drivers getting their hands on these, especially teenagers, is frightening. Much smarter and more responsible to keep the really fast cars expensive and relatively rare, IMO.

Brooks, try heating the battery in the Model Y. It doesn’t affect 0-60 mph as much as it does for the 1/4 mile but it still makes a difference. Have you ever monitored the Max Discharge Value for the Plaid? It is possible that the Plaid can actually go quicker with a more optimized battery. If you get the S3XY buttons you can monitor temps and the Max Discharge Value for all of your Tesla vehicles. I bet they would give you some S3XY buttons to review. Just let them know you need them for the Model Y and the Plaid.
